How To Adopt?

Check out the 'SAD Dogs for Adoption' webpage displaying the current dogs available
 
  • Simply call SAD and answer a few questions about yourself and the type of dog you are looking for.  

        Call : 050 1307392

  • Alternatively click on the 'Online Adoption Form' in the menu bar.
  • SAD will try to find a suitable dog(s) from those currently available and arrange a viewing.
  • Dogs are firstly sent out on a pre-adoption trial (PAT period) with any potential new owner. This is a period of up to 1 week when you try the dog out at home to see if it is suitable
  • During the PAT period you will receive follow up phone calls to discuss how the PAT period is progressing and SAD will readily give you advice and assistance if you are encountering problems.
  • At ANY time during the 1 week PAT period you may decide to adopt a SAD dog.
  • All sad dogs are fully vaccinated (including kennel cough) vet-checked, de-wormed/treated for external parasites and in exceptional health.
  •  All SAD dogs are sterilized at the American Veterinary Clinic in Abu Dhabi. The AVC is SAD’s trusted and recommended vet clinic. Adult dogs are sterilized upon acceptance into SAD. SAD puppies are sterilized at 5-6 months of age. SAD will contact you and make all the necessary arrangements for  the spay/neuter of your adopted SAD puppy once it is old enough.
  •  All SAD dogs are micro-chipped and vaccinated against rabies.SAD micro-chips are all registered on the new UAE database to ensure that if lost your dog can be traced (www.aniworldbase.com)

  

Adoption of SAD cats and other SAD animals.   

  • Simply call SAD and answer a few questions about yourself and the type of cat you are looking for.

  • SAD will try to find a suitable cat(s) from those currently available and arrange a viewing.
  • Cats are firstly sent out on a pre-adoption trial (PAT period) with any potential new owner. This is a period of up to 1 week when you try the cat out at home to see if it is suitable
