We’ve created this website to raise awareness of the problems of strayed animals. We want to help people realize what the animal shelter need and how they can help. Every little counts. Most of the animal shelters accept very different kind of volunteers – from hands on animals positions – to purely administrative positions. You can help with paperwork on with walking the dogs and making the cats purr. There is position for everyone.

There are only few basic requirements for those who want to volunteer at the shelter:

First and foremost volunteers should be at least 9 years old. If under 16 – the volunteer should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If 16-18 years old – the volunteer could attend independently but with parental consent.

Second – time commitment: typically shelters want to deal with volunteers on regular basis. You should be willing to work at the shelter for at least 4-6 months. Volunteers typically spend between 2 and 4 hours a week at the shelter. In exchange of their valuable time and energy, they get paid with the love of the shelter’s furry inhabitants.
